New breakfast club for kids

A new breakfast club for school children in Chertsey has been launched this week.

Club 326, who have been running after school clubs for children aged between four and 11 since April 2004, have now extended the club to accept children before school.

Parents can now drop their children off at the club in the grounds of Stepgates School from 8am and then staff will walk the children to school.

Wendy Roydhouse, a supervisor at the club, said: "We've been running the after school club and a holiday club for some time, which both allow parents to leave their children with someone while they go to work.

"Interest in the club is particularly high at the moment, so we thought it would be a good idea to allow parents to leave their children with us before they go to work, and we would then take them to school.

"The breakfast club is in its early stages, but its proving successful so far."

Parents whose children are members of Club 326 can drop their children off on weekday mornings during term time at the club next to Sunnyside Pre-School in Stepgates.
