Music star visits Chertsey school

WW-pen2.jpgThe girls at a Chertsey school were gasping with delight as they learned they would be getting a music masterclass from star of drum and bass band Pendulum, Rob Swire.

Pupils at Sir William Perkins's School in Guildford Road, were treated to the visit by the producer, writer and musician on Friday October 2.

The visit had to be kept a closely guarded secret, but Rob spent the day working with music groups of all ages, listening to their compositions and helping them transfer their music to the style of Pendulum.

Jenny Davy, on of the sixth form pupils who met him, said: "It was absolutely incredible having Rob Swire come into school for a music lesson.

"Everyone was so excited and it was amazing watching him in the recording studio making music.

"He is so experienced and skilful and it was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity."

We'd like to hear from you.
