Granny completes mountain mission
A GRANDMOTHER-OF-THREE has completed a gruelling mountain mission raising £6000 for charity.
Sue Dillon, 60, braved sub-zero temperatures completing the Annapurna mountain range in Nepal in 16 days in order to raise money for Parity for Disability, a charity which provides vital services, for young people with multiple disabilities and their families.
Mrs Dillon a teacher who lives in Abbey Close, Chertsey, returned from her trip on Sunday (November 8) she said: "It was fantastic, a wonderful experience and a very satisfying challenge.
"All my emotions came out, we lived in tents which was completely new to me, I'd never camped before in my life.
"The people were absolutely wonderful, our sherpa and porter and the people of Nepal.
"It was very humbling, they have to little and give so much that is the one thing that will stay with me.
"When we finished I felt knackered but humbled, it was an experience of a lifetime."
