Addlestone Salvation Army appeal for gifts
THE Salvation Army in Addlestone is appealing for gift donations to make sure everyone in the town has a happy Christmas.
Members of the public are being invited to drop into Superdrug stores in Walton and Addlestone or the army hall in Church Road, with gifts for babies and children aged 0-16.
"Millions of children and young people in the UK have benefited from the gifts donated to The Salvation Army over many years," Lieutenant Ashley Prodgers, leader of The Salvation Army in Addlestone, said.
"We need everything, from soft and educational toys for the very youngest, to CDs, games and toys and accessories for older children. And please, don't forget the teenagers, particularly the boys who sometimes tend to get left out of such appeals."
People are also being urged to contribute towards Addlestone Salvation Army Corps' Tin a Week Project, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
Thousands of tins of food have been donated over the years. Tins can be donated at the Corps' Charity Shop in Church Road.
