Twins accepted to prestigious American university

TWINS from Virginia Water have been offered the opportunity to attend the prestigious Yale University in America.

The private university, which is an Ivy League school based in New Haven, Connecticut, north-east of New York, is widely regarded as one of the best college's in the world.

And the admission process is rigorous in the extreme with both Denis and Dasha filling their holiday time with additional educational courses to help their chances of securing a place.

Head of St George's College Sixth Form, Mandy Smith, said all of the twins' hard work had paid off.

She said: "Denis and Dasha are certainly worthy of these accolades and we are very proud of their achievements. We know they will rise to the challenges that attending such a first class university will bring and we wish them happy and successful futures when they join next October.

"Denis wants to major in mathematics and economics and Dasha in corporate law."

The twins applied for 'early action' which is why they have been assured of their places promptly.

A further 1,500 places will be offered later by the university which receives more than 30,000 applications from would-be students every year.

We'd like to hear from you.
