RESIDENTS in Victoria Road have received letters from the Addlestone North and Bourneside neighbourhood police team advising them not to park on the pavement.
Officers were told at a panel meeting on Monday, August 15, vehicles were blocking the pavements in the street, making it difficult for wheelchair users pedestrians with buggies to navigate.
Police said offending drivers caught in the future will be warned or prosecuted for obstructing the highway.
Police are hunting for two suspects after power tools and a torch were taken from a van in Burleigh Road on Tuesday, August 23.
Two men were seen in the area before making off in a white Citreon van before police arrived.
DETECTIVES in Runnymede want to track the burglars who broke into an 88-year-old woman's house in Chertsey over the weekend.
The incident took place overnight between 10.30pm on Saturday, June 25 and 7.30am the following day.
The burglar, or burglars, forced open a keysafe on the outside of the building in Little Green Lane, and used the key to gain entry to the address.
EMERGENCY crews rushed to the River Thames near Chertsey on Wednesday morning after a car was seen submerged in the water.
A dog walker spotted the Land Rover Defender in the river, off Chertsey Bridge Road, just before 8am and initially it was feared that there may be someone inside.
Police and fire crews from Chertsey and Walton were called to the scene and, using the Walton crew's boat, they established that the vehicle was empty.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her forties was the victim of an attempted robbery in Chertsey.
The incident took place at 11.30pm on Sunday, February 20 at the junction of Pyrcroft Road and Vincent Road.
The victim, a 46-year-old woman from Chertsey, was walking her dog when she was grabbed from behind by the suspect who told her to hand over money and her mobile phone.
The victim refused and the suspect pushed her against a wall. The victim then kicked the suspect on the leg and the victim's dog also bit the suspect.
PART of the M3 was closed on Monday after a woman was found lying unconscious by the roadside.
Police were called to the hard shoulder of the M3 between junction 1 at Sunbury and junction 2 at Chertsey at 3am.
The woman was taken by ambulance to St George's Hospital in Tooting, south London, suffering from serious head, chest and leg injuries.
The M3 is open but Littleton Lane remains closed while police continue to carry out their investigations.
DETECTIVES have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of the body of a man at a flat in Addlestone.
Officers were called to a first floor flat at Abell Court in Brighton Road, Addlestone at 8am on Monday, February 7 when a neighbour expressed concern for the safety of the occupier because the front door appeared to have been left open.
They found the body of a man, believed to be in his fifties, in the flat, and it was apparent he had sustained injuries although it is not known how they had been inflicted.

POLICE in Runnymede are urging boat owners in Chertsey not to leave valuables on their crafts after a series of break ins over the Christmas period.
Moored boats make an attractive target for thieves as they are often unoccupied and now police are hoping the owners will help them to lower the rate of thefts.
Last month officers have received reports of four incidents involving boats moored off Bridge Road, which all took place between 6pm and 8.30pm on Monday, December 20.
A GROUP of thieves stole ã150 worth of camping equipment from a shed in Chertsey before setting up tent and staying overnight in Gogmore Farm Park.
The offenders, who are believed to have broken in overnight on Saturday, October 9, took a tent and several sleeping bags from the residential property in St Anne's Road.
They then reportedly walked down a path parallel to Twynersh Avenue to the park, where they set up a camp site for the night. The equipment was found by police alongside a number of empty beer cans.
It was the third shed theft in the past two-and-a-half years at the home of retired firefighter Michael Murphy. In the two previous break ins, more than ã4,000 worth of fishing equipment was stolen.
